This option entails the need to re-engineer the Financial System to interface directly with the Customer Service System. This option will cost Young- Young an additional fifty percent.
6.1.1 Advantages
Hardware and software engineering are not nearly as expensive as they used to be. Commercial of the shelf (CDTS) materials can be acquired from bidders, a comparable costs or even purchasing readymade programs that can be tailored specifically to Young- Young’s financial system requirements. Technical expertise is affordable and available. Option 1 allows room to engineer for future growth and compatibility which equals numerous other potential systems in the long run.
6.1.2 Disadvantages
This option will cost Young-Young an additional fifty percent. Re- engineering the Financial System will not be an overnight process, an extended time will be necessary to get the Financial System online and communicating with the new Customer Service System.
