8.2 Technical
Goals Approach
This section will highlight our proposal to solve the Customer Service system issues that Young- Young is currently facing.
8.2.1 Goals
  • Provide a Customer Service System by coding a solution to enhance the Inventory and Tracking capacity of Young-Young
  • Take a “bite the bullet” approach and develop an interface GUI with the Financial System by contacting the vendor and training a Software Developer to take the load off the financial system by incorporating it into the Customer Service approach
  • Track the Orders through incorporation of the Customer Service System and the Inventory Tracking System
  • Complete the Customer Service System and all integrated sub- systems on Budget and within time-line specified.
8.2.2 Approach

We will use a hybrid approach utilizing RAD (Rapid Application Development), and JAD (Joint Application Development) this will provide early visibility of the main end product and is one of the greatest advantages of this hybrid-approach.  The use of prototyping makes it very management friendly as they can get ‘hands on’ experience of the project and product. (ProjectPerfect 2008). This visibility provides the project manager with a great deal of comfort with the project, and they can continually update the client on the status. This leads to greater flexibility with design itself.
